Friday Recap 9/4

9/4/26

EBA Family,

Please see the following information for an update on what’s happening on our campus.

Absences - If your student(s) is absent (especially in grades 7-12). They are required to bring a note within two days of returning to school. If the student(s) do not bring a note they will be marked as an unexcused absence. This will have ramifications on exempting exams for those eligible. Please see the handbook for more information on our absence and tardy policy.

Chapel - This week we had a special guest, Pastor Kevin Bounds, from Morningside Baptist Church in Douglas, Georgia. Pastor Kevin and I are friends from my time spent in Douglas and he shared with us about his recent bikepacking mission trip in Mongolia. Thank you Pastor Kevin for making the trip to Waynesboro to share your experience.

Concession Stand Volunteers - Be sure to check in with your student’s teachers to see if there are any available opportunities to volunteer to work our concession stands throughout the year. This is a great way to meet your student’s classmates and families, to network, to fellowship, and to provide a service that our school needs.

Elementary Cross Country - Practices will be Tuesday-Thursday from 3:00-3:45. Pick up will be at 3:45 at the football pavilion.

Lunch Accounts - Please be sure that you are keeping track of our lunchroom account balances and that everyone is striving to maintain a positive balance in your account. You will receive an automated email on Sunday evening if you owe (I know this from firsthand experience).

One Act Play - Anyone interested in participating in One Act Play (as a cast member or a crew member) please see Mrs. Waller to sign up.

Parent/Teacher Conferences - Wednesday, September 9th we will have parent teacher conferences. Please reach out to your teacher(s), myself, or Mrs. Winkler to schedule a conference.

Shot Records - Students in Kindergarten (k-3, k-4, and k-5), 7th grade, and 11th grade. If you received a letter regarding shot records, please be sure to bring an updated copy of your student’s shot records to the school for us to have on file.

Friday Thought

Well, progress report time is here, and we are excited to see where our students are and work hard to help students continue to achieve at a high level or figure out methods to help them achieve at a higher level than they currently are. If you have any questions or concerns about curriculum, grades, or behavior please reach out to the teacher first with your questions or concerns. After you have done that and if you still have questions, please feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to help ease your mind or answer any questions. We do our absolute best to help produce responsible young people and when we work together as a team that goal is most certainly achievable.

I hope to see everyone at tonight’s first home football game as we cheer on our Spartan against Westminster.

Go Spartans!

Daniel Hannah

Headmaster
